Rob J. Anderson is the Chief Executive Officer of Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC), a leading acute care hospital serving Manatee and Sarasota counties. Since joining the hospital on April 21, 2025, Rob has focused on advancing high-quality, patient-centered care while building strong relationships with the broader Lakewood Ranch community. Rob has more than 25 years of leadership experience including his tenure as CEO at Tenet Healthcare in El Paso, Texas.

Rob is known for his collaborative leadership style, effective communication, and developing strong teams. He is committed to guiding the hospital through its most significant expansion to date. Under Rob’s leadership, LWRMC is advancing a $120 million, five-story patient tower scheduled to open in early 2026. The expansion will initially add 60 more beds to accommodate its increased demands and further enhance its orthopedic and surgical services, women’s services, and expanding cardiac care to address the growing need for the community.

Rob’s commitment to community engagement and excellence in patient care positions LWRMC to continue as a leading healthcare provider in the region. His vision aligns with the hospital’s mission to adapt and grow alongside the community it serves.

Prior to joining LWRMC, Rob served as CEO of The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus and Providence Children’s Hospital in El Paso, Texas. Prior to getting into healthcare, Rob owned an independent insurance and financial securities agency with State Farm Insurance Companies in Texas.

Rob earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Dallas’ Jindal School of Management and received his undergraduate degree in business management with a minor in law from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
